Search by number


Just added a cool little feature to Yahoo! Search with Greasemonkey. Using this you can just press the number of the search result rather than clicking on it so your hands don't have to leave the keyboard.

Oracle 10G XE


Last week someone asked us if we could run against Oracle instead of PostgreSQL. I said sure, we are based on EJB3 (Hibernate 3.1). Then we went to install Oracle 10G, what a mess. Fortunately, Oracle released XE on Monday and in 2 days our application was ported, running and fully tested using it instead.

iBlog to Blojsom ... not so fast Blojsom


Right now I use a client side tool called iBlog to write all my blog entries. This makes it so I have to use a third party system, Haloscan, to have comments and trackbacks. I would like all this to be on the server, so I tried to convert .... but rolled back.
